EICR Certificates
Landlords are required to conduct an EICR or Electrical Installation Condition Report every 5 years. Our team of qualified inspectors are on hand to ensure all electrical installations in the property are safe.

An EICR is a legal requirement for all rented properties. Its purpose, as the name suggests, is to ensure the safety of a property’s electrical installation and that it will not cause any fire risks or electric shocks.

Electrical inspections must be carried out by a qualified electrician/inspector with any remedial work required conducted within 28 days. Further inspections are then conducted every 5 years, irrespective of changes to tenants, to ensure the rental property continues to comply with the regulations.

Our engineers are specialists in EICR inspections and will provide a detailed report highlighting all observations during the visit. Certification will be provided within 24 hours of our visit with any remedial work required scheduled within 48 hours of being agreed.

EICR Certificates FAQs

EICR stands for Electrical Installation Condition Report. Previously known as Fixed Wire Testing, an EICR involves a trained professional testing all of your property’s electrical installations to make sure they are safe.

During an EICR inspection, a trained professional will visually assess your property’s electrical installations before carrying out an electrical test to assess the safety of the circuits.

The cost of an EICR is dependent on the size of the rental property to be inspected. LPC can provide a bespoke quote on enquiry.

EICR Certificates are valid for five years, excluding any supplementary works undertaken during this period.

An EICR survey can take between 1-4 hours, depending on the size of your property.
